Securely update your FaithGPT account password or reset a forgotten password.

Current Password Flow

FaithGPT does not currently show a Change Password section inside Settings. Older help text that pointed there was incorrect.

If You Signed In With Google or Apple

  1. Change your password with Google or Apple directly
  2. Return to FaithGPT and sign in again

If You Use Email and Password

  1. Go to faithgpt.io/auth?mode=sign-in
  2. Use the recovery or reset option shown on the sign-in screen, if available
  3. If you do not see a reset option, email hello@faithgpt.io from the address on your account
  4. Include your device, browser, and a screenshot if possible

Forgot Password

Before You Reset

  • Make sure you know whether your account uses Google/Apple sign-in or email/password
  • Sign out of shared devices if you think your account is exposed
  • Use a password manager for any new password you create

If the Reset Flow Does Not Work

  • Email hello@faithgpt.io
  • Send from the address on your FaithGPT account when possible
  • Include the exact problem, device, browser, and whether you use Google/Apple or email/password

Password Tips

Creating Strong Passwords

Do:

  • Use 12+ characters
  • Mix upper and lowercase
  • Include numbers
  • Add special characters (!@#$%)
  • Use passphrases

Don't:

  • Use personal info
  • Reuse passwords
  • Use common words
  • Share your password

Password Managers

Consider using:

  • 1Password
  • LastPass
  • Bitwarden
  • Apple Keychain
  • Google Password Manager

When to Change

Change password if:

  • You suspect compromise
  • Shared with someone
  • Using weak password
  • Regular security practice
